In Chegem district tested 55 thousand blueberry seedlings

Field testing in the Chegem district successfully passed 55 thousand blueberry seedlings. The inspection of specialists in Kabardino-Balkaria confirmed one hundred percent varietal purity and compliance of young plants with state standards. Examination of shrubs with a closed root system on an area of three hectares was carried out by specialists of the inspection body.

Experts assessed the general condition of the planting material, checked the absence of foreign impurities and varietal signs. According to the results of the control, no traces of infection, hidden diseases or quarantine pests were found. The entire batch fully complies with the established standards, and confirming acts have already been entered into the specialized federal electronic system.

Kabardino-Balkaria confidently holds the leadership in the production of this berry in the North Caucasus: according to the Ministry of Agriculture of the CBD, the annual harvest of blueberries in the republic reaches 300 tons, which is almost 70 percent of the total harvested in the entire federal district.
