In the Chelyabinsk region discuss a ban on the sale of fuel to children
In the region proposed to ban the sale of gasoline and other fuel and lubricants to adolescents under 16 years

In the region proposed to ban the sale of gasoline and other fuels and lubricants to adolescents under 16 years. The bill was prepared by the regional prosecutor's office. The initiative was already supported by the Legislative Assembly Committee on Economic Policy and Entrepreneurship.
One of the reasons for the development of the bill was the risks associated with the management of pitbikes, quad bikes and other equipment. Teenagers often drive without the necessary skills, putting themselves and others at risk. This was told at the meeting by senior assistant prosecutor of the Chelyabinsk region Irina Onishchenko.
There's another problem. According to the representative of the prosecutor’s office, in the past few years, the number of arson attacks on transport infrastructure and railway rolling stock committed by teenagers has increased.
A ban on the sale of gasoline and other fuels and lubricants to children under the age of 16 will help reduce the risk of road accidents and prevent such offences.
First Deputy Chairman of the Committee Dmitry Kleutin said that the deputies supported the proposal of the Prosecutor’s office. At the same time, he stressed that restrictions cannot completely solve the problem.
“It is important to conduct active educational work to protect adolescents from dangerous mistakes,” the parliamentarian said.
Following the discussion, the committee proposed to submit the bill to a meeting of the Legislative Assembly of the Chelyabinsk region and adopt it in the first reading.
