The capital of Karachay-Cherkessia has become a center of attraction for gourmets and zealous hosts: a traditional autumn agro-fair unfolded on the square in Cherkessk. More than 80 leading agricultural enterprises, farms and individual entrepreneurs from all over the republic, as well as from neighboring regions of the South of Russia, presented their products.

The main feature of the fair was a direct dialogue between the manufacturer and the buyer, which allowed to set prices 15-20% below the market. According to preliminary estimates of the relevant Ministry, during the day of the fair, residents and guests of the city purchased more than 40 tons of products.

More than 15 tons of potatoes, carrots, onions and apples of the 2026 harvest were presented in the assortment. About 5 tons of fresh meat, delicacies and famous homemade Karachay cheeses were sold. Natural mountain honey was widely presented, as well as confectionery and dried fruits. And gardeners purchased hundreds of seedlings of fruit trees, ornamental shrubs and seasonal flowers.

The fair has long ceased to be just a trading platform. A cultural program was organized for visitors with the participation of creative teams of the republic.

“Such fairs are not only support for our farmers in the implementation of the harvest, but also an important social measure that allows citizens to make reserves for the winter at fair prices,” the city administration said.

Earlier it was reported that the festival “Taste of Russia” was held in Stavropol.
