In Cherkessk laid a rowan alley of unity of the peoples of Karachay-Cherkessia

In the Pokrovsky Park Cherkessk appeared a mountain alley - another symbol of unity and harmony in the republic. The action was held as part of the seventh season of the All-Russian action “Save the Forest”, the beginning of which was previously announced by the head of Karachay-Cherkessia Rashid Temrezov, urging fellow countrymen to join and choose a convenient location on the federal website.

In the planting of trees, together with the speaker of the parliament of the republic, the senator of the KCR, deputies of the People's Assembly, the minister of natural resources and young activists - students of Cherkessk schools - the head of the city Alexei Baskayev took part. He recalled that this autumn trees will be planted in another part of the republican center: spreading maples will appear on the avenue of the 200th anniversary of Cherkessk. Baskayev also urged fellow countrymen to plant trees in courtyards and participate in urban environmental actions, noting that planting a tree is a great opportunity to leave your mark on the ground.

“Save the Forest” is one of the largest forest and climate projects in the country: for six seasons its participants planted tens of millions of trees, and in 2026 the action covers all regions of the North Caucasus.

For Karachay-Cherkessia, participation in the project is important not only from an environmental, but also from an image point of view: the republic positions itself as a territory with a responsible attitude to natural resources and developed environmental volunteering, the head of Cherkessk emphasized.
