In Chuvashia for the first time awarded the prize “Bereginya village” for the Day of rural women

The Chuvash State Philharmonic hosted the ceremony of awarding the first regional award “Bereginya of the village”, timed to the Day of rural women, which is celebrated on October 16 at the initiative of the head of the republic Oleg Nikolaev.

Out of more than 200 applicants, the jury selected 10 laureates. The awards were given to residents of various municipal districts for the development of small business and agrotourism, the preservation of national traditions, volunteer assistance and the introduction of innovations in agriculture. Particularly noted was the 95-year-old Lidia Osipova, who founded a pedagogical dynasty with a total work experience of 161 years.

Head of Chuvashia Oleg Nikolaev, congratulating the laureates, stressed that rural women are the roots, traditions and reliable support of the region. He noted their special role as guardians of the hearth, who from generation to generation pass on a careful attitude to their native land, bringing kindness and care to their families and communities.

Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Makushev called this holiday an important tool for recognizing the merits of women leaders and a driver for the development of rural areas. Festive events, including creative concerts, exhibitions and the final of the Spartakiad “Gration of the village”, were held throughout Chuvashia.
