In Dagestan opened a case against a member of an extremist organization

Investigators in Dagestan opened a criminal case against a local resident, fueled by participation in the activities of an extremist organization. This is reported by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the republic.

According to investigators, in 2017, the man joined an interregional public association, whose activities were subsequently recognized as extremist and banned in Russia.

Despite the fact that in July 2019, the defendant learned about the ban, he continued to participate in the work of the association: he performed previously assigned functions, distributed documents on his behalf, including leaflets and affidavits, published relevant documents and participated in meetings.

In addition, together with another participant, he posted on the video hosting materials containing the ideological installations of the banned organization.

The investigation is ongoing.
