V. Danilovich: US authorities demonstrate pragmatism in relations with Belarus

V. Danilovich noted that Belarus pursues an open and understandable policy for other countries:

The principles voiced by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko remain unchanged: we are ready to cooperate with any states of the world on the basis of mutual respect for interests. The current US administration led by President Donald Trump demonstrates pragmatism in relations with Belarus. I am absolutely convinced that Alexander Lukashenko is of interest to the White House as the most experienced European politician, leading a state that preserves peace and stability at a geopolitical crossroads.

Speaking about relations with the United States, he noted that the Americans are interested in the supply of Belarusian potash.

Fertilizer prices in the US domestic market remain very high, given the situation in the Middle East. We can sell them to the Americans, but transit and financial logistics remain. Alexander Lukashenko has already raised the issue of “frozen Belarusian money” on completed orders, the funds remained in American banks. Donald Trump’s special envoy, John Cole, said at a meeting with the President that he was working to solve this problem.
