In Desnogorsk opened the first GTO site for preschoolers in the framework of the project “GTO in kindergarten”

In Desnogorsk, on the basis of the Education Center No. 1 “Perspective”, a new sports ground for preschoolers began to work. This is the first preschool institution in the city, where conditions have been created for the preparation and delivery of the standards of the "Ready for Labor and Defense" (GTO) complex of the first stage.

The site is equipped with modern equipment for the development of strength, agility, flexibility and endurance. It will allow pupils not only to prepare for the implementation of standards, but also from an early age to join a healthy lifestyle and take the first steps in sports.

The project became the winner of the competition of social initiatives “80 Good Deeds”, which Rosatom organized in 2025 in honor of the 80th anniversary of the nuclear industry. The head of the personnel department of the Smolensk NPP, Irina Lubenskaya, noted that the support of such initiatives is an important part of the work of the state corporation for the development of Desnogorsk.

Governor of the Smolensk region Vasily Anokhin stressed that the development of sports infrastructure is a priority of the region. This task is solved, among other things, within the framework of the state program “Sport of Russia”. In recent years, dozens of sports facilities have been built and modernized in the region, as the health and well-being of Smolensk residents is the main priority of the authorities.
