In two settlements of the Volgograd region canceled the quarantine for brucellosis
In the Volgograd region quarantine for brucellosis was lifted at once in two rural settlements - Krasnoyarsk (Chernyshkovsky district) and Savinsky (Pallasovsky district)

Restrictions in the Krasnoyarsk rural settlement were in effect from May 14, in Savinsky - from September 8, 2026. In the first case, the quarantine lasted almost five months.
Quarantine was lifted thanks to a set of veterinary measures: specialists examined the livestock, isolated and treated sick animals, strengthened control over the movement of livestock. Now the situation remains under control – this is necessary to prevent a new spread of infection.
Brucellosis is a dangerous infection that is transmitted from animals to humans. Most often, infection occurs through contact with sick animals or through unpasteurized dairy products and meat of weak roast. In the body, bacteria can affect the lymph nodes, joints, nervous system and internal organs. A characteristic sign of the disease is wave fever: the temperature rises and falls, because of which the condition seems either better or worse. The incubation period lasts from a week to three months, and without treatment, the infection often becomes chronic and can lead to serious complications.
Especially high risk of severe disease in contact with goats and sheep, but the source can be both cattle and pigs. For people with weakened immunity, even infections from domestic dogs are dangerous. Therefore, veterinarians remind: any products of animal origin should be consumed only after reliable heat treatment, and when working with animals, basic protection measures should be observed.
