In the Yelets district, the administration was fined 40 thousand rubles because of a leaky roof

In the Yelets district, the administration was brought to justice after the authorities did not respond to a request from a participant in a special military operation to repair a leaky roof of a house. The man lives in an apartment under a social contract. This was reported in the Prosecutor’s office of the Lipetsk region.

The inspection confirmed that the roof needs repair: it is necessary to replace the roof, rafters and crate.

Prosecutors also found out that the house is actually an apartment, but in the GIS housing and communal services it is listed as several separate objects. Because of this, the building cannot get into the overhaul program.

The prosecutor made a submission to the head of the district administration. In addition, the municipality was brought to administrative responsibility under article 7.22 of the administrative code of the Russian Federation for violation of the rules of maintenance and repair of residential buildings. The fine amounted to 40 thousand rubles.

Execution of the requirements of the prosecutor’s office and restoration of the rights of residents remain under the supervision of the supervisory authority.
