On the eve of the All-Russian Father’s Day, which is celebrated on October 18, the National Museum of Kalmykia named after N. N. Palmov held a ceremony of awarding the medal of public recognition “Father of the Soldier”. The award, established by the Fathers of Russia movement, is awarded for the education of true patriots and defenders of the Motherland.

Before the celebration, guests were able to visit the Victory Hall. The main heroes of the event were the fathers, whose sons showed courage and loyalty to the oath. Representatives of the executive and legislative authorities of the region, social activists and veterans of the special military operation came to congratulate them.

There were many warm words addressed to the awardees. Separate words of gratitude were addressed to the mothers of the heroes – they were awarded diplomas of honor of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Kalmykia.
