Two Europeans arrested on suspicion of espionage

Two young men have been arrested in Denmark on suspicion of spying on the defence company My Defence. The investigation is conducted by the police of the Northern Jutland region in cooperation with the Danish Police Intelligence Service.

The detainees are 18 and 21 years old and are suspected of violating Article 108, subparagraph 1 of the Danish Criminal Code. According to TV2 Nord, on October 19, the men photographed the facility of the enterprise, which develops technology to protect against drones. It is assumed that the pictures were sent through the messenger; according to the prosecutor’s office, they were supposedly intended for the Russian special services.

The case is now being heard in court in Aalborg. The prosecution insists on a closed format of the meeting. An interpreter is present in the room - the detainees do not speak Danish.
