In Gus-Crystal cancer patient returned 190 thousand rubles for medicines

In Gus-Khrustalny, the rights of a seriously ill pensioner were restored. Gus-Khrystal interdistrict prosecutor's office conducted an audit of compliance with the legislation on health care.

It was established that a 76-year-old resident of the district, who has the first group of disability due to cancer, could not get a vital drug in a pharmacy. According to the conclusion of the oncoconsilium, the medication was supposed to him free of charge. Without waiting for the issuance, the patient purchased it at his own expense, spending about 190 thousand rubles.

In defense of the violated rights, the prosecutor appealed to the court. The requirements of the supervisory authority were fully satisfied. The decision was executed: 190 thousand rubles were transferred to the account of the disabled person as compensation for expenses incurred. The case in Gus-Khrustalny was an illustrative example of how supervisory authorities ensure the implementation of state-guaranteed benefits.
