In the Ivanovo region, annual inflation reached 6.56%

In September 2026, consumer prices in the Ivanovo region increased by 0.58% compared to August. The annual inflation rate rose to 6.56%, exceeding the all-Russian level, which was 6.35%. This was reported in the regional branch of the Bank of Russia.

The dynamics of prices was affected, among other things, by the rise in the price of motor fuel. The Central Bank associates it with a temporary reduction in the production of petroleum products due to repair work at a number of Russian refineries. At the same time, fuel prices rose significantly slower in September than in July.

The changes affected other categories of consumer spending. Prices for fruits and vegetables declined in line with the usual seasonal trend for September. Educational services, by contrast, have risen markedly. Non-food products grew more slowly than a month earlier.

According to experts of the Bank of Russia, taking into account seasonal factors, the overall price increase in September was stronger than the August one, although the current inflation rate in the country decreased.
