In Kaliningrad “Urban road construction and repair” warned for damaged fences and defects of road signs

The Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Kaliningrad region warned the Municipal State Institution “City Road Construction and Repair” of the City of Kaliningrad. This is reported on the website of the Prosecutor General.

The reason for this was that on four streets of Kaliningrad pedestrian fence was damaged, and on another avenue found defects of road signs.

In particular, pedestrian fences were damaged on Suvorov Street (at the house 49), on Yaltinskaya Street (at the house 66 "B"), on Ostrovsky Street (at the house 22) and on General Chelnokov Street (at the house 39). In addition, a similar damage was recorded on Moscow Avenue near the house 40.

In addition, on the Avenue of Victory near the house 118 found defects of road signs 8.22.1 and 4.2.1. These signs work in pairs: the plate 8.22.1 (“obstacle”) warns about an obstacle on the road, and the sign 4.2.1 (“Detour of the obstacle on the right”) indicates which side it is safer to pass. If they are damaged or poorly visible, the driver may not notice the danger in time or misunderstand how to maneuver, which creates a risk of an accident.
