About 39 tons of contaminated tomatoes from Turkey were not allowed into the Kaliningrad region. In two batches of vegetables, Rosselkhoznadzor specialists found a South American tomato moth. This was reported in the regional department of the department.

The inspections took place on October 10 and 11. The presence of the pest was confirmed by laboratory studies.

Rosselkhoznadzor notified cargo owners of the need to take action. By their decision, the tomatoes were sent for special treatment, which should destroy the pest.

Earlier we wrote that in the Kaliningrad region found hundreds of varieties of seeds outside the state register.
