In Kalmykia, a woman will be tried for benefits received on forged documents

The prosecutor's office of the Chernozemel district sent a criminal case against a 37-year-old resident of the neighboring region to the court. She is accused of fraud with social payments, committed on a large scale by a group of persons on prior conspiracy.

According to the investigation, in May last year, the woman paid 23 thousand rubles to unknown persons. In return, they had to enter false information about her husband’s work and income into the FTS database so that the family could claim state support. In addition, the accused gave the accomplices their personal data and access to the portal “State Services”.

Using someone else’s account, the attackers filed an application on behalf of the woman in the branch of the Social Fund of Russia in the Republic of Kalmykia. They requested a monthly allowance for the birth and upbringing of a child, attaching fictitious income certificates to the application. Fund staff approved the payment. From May 2025 to April 2026, the accused received more than 620 thousand rubles.

The criminal case with the approved indictment has already gone to court.
