In Kalmykia, a project to create cadet classes under the patronage of the Investigative Committee is gaining momentum. Ten such classes already operate in the republic, and on September 1, 2026, the eighth specialized class was opened in the Elista Classical Gymnasium named after B. K. Sekenov.
Every Thursday, investigators conduct classes for cadets, in which they do not just talk about the service, but actually show its inside out. On the eve of the Day of the Forensic Service of the Sledcom, which is celebrated on October 19, the guys plunged into the world of fingerprinting, trasology and evidence collection.
The lesson began with the theoretical part. The forensic investigator explained to the cadets the basics of forensic technology and told how the smallest detail can be the key to solving a complex crime. The main event was practice. The teenagers were shown expert lighting and given a chance to work with it. Wearing special glasses with filters, the cadets looked with interest at biological traces, and also worked with a metal detector and laser rangefinders.
