Elista hosted the action “Environmental safety of the Caspian Sea”, organized by B.B. Gorodovikov KalmSU. The event became part of the expert dialogue dedicated to the sustainability of the Caspian region in the context of global changes and water scarcity.

Employees of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic joined the action. The main attention was paid to cleaning the territory from solid municipal waste. The organizers also set a goal to attract young people and the public to the problems of water conservation and environmental safety of the region.

The action took place on the territory adjacent to the Elista River and was timed to coincide with the all-Russian action “Water of Russia”.
