In Kalmykia told about measures to support blind and visually impaired citizens

The republic recalled comprehensive measures to support citizens with visual impairments. According to the regional branch of the Social Fund, blind and visually impaired residents of the region receive pensions, benefits, rehabilitation funds and vouchers for sanatorium and resort treatment.

Pension provision is represented by insurance and social payments. The insurance pension consists of a fixed part, depending on the disability group, and individual points. The fixed payment ranges from 4,792.35 to 20,583.24 rubles, and for the first group, a care allowance of 1,413.86 rubles is included. The social pension ranges from 8,010.57 to 22,617.67 rubles.

The monthly cash payment for the disabled of the first group is 6,157.22 rubles. For the second group and children with disabilities, it is 4,397.23 rubles, and for the third group - 3,520.01 rubles. These amounts are indicated without deducting the cost of a set of social services, which includes the provision of technical means of rehabilitation.

Visually impaired people of the first group can get an old-age insurance pension ahead of schedule. This right is available to men from 50 years with experience of 15 years, women from 40 years with experience of 10 years. In both cases, at least 30 retirement points are required. If the experience is not enough, a social old-age pension with a base amount of 9,424.12 rubles is appointed. At the same time, the pensioner’s income cannot be lower than the subsistence minimum in Kalmykia, set at 15,962 rubles. The difference is compensated by social benefits.

Parents of disabled children can count on additional weekends, the use of maternity capital for the adaptation of the child and a monthly payment for care in the amount of 11,563.2 rubles.
