In Kalmykia, the court ordered the municipality to repair the road

At the suit of the prosecutor's office of the Yashkul district, the court ordered the municipality to repair the road to the village of Tsagan-Usn.

The supervisory authority conducted an inspection and found that the roadway "Yashkul - Komsomolsky - Artesian" to the village of Tsagan-Usn has asphalt concrete surface. But it has numerous potholes. Meanwhile, it is included in the list of public roads of local importance.

The district prosecutor's office made a submission demanding the elimination of defects in the road surface to the head of the Yashkul RMO. However, no effective measures were taken to eliminate violations, the prosecutor’s office stressed.

The district prosecutor’s office in accordance with Art. 39 of the CAS of the Russian Federation sent an administrative statement of claim on recognizing the inaction of the district municipality as illegal and imposing an obligation to eliminate defects in the road surface.

The Yashkul District Court satisfied the claims in full.
