Inflation accelerated in Kalmykia

In Kalmykia, annual inflation in September accelerated to 8.94% - from 8.71% a month earlier.

The indicator was higher than the average in the Southern Federal District (6.89%) and in Russia (6.35%). According to Rosstat, in September prices in the republic increased by 0.8%.

The Bank of Russia attributes higher price growth to the characteristics of the region’s consumer basket.
