In Karachay-Cherkessia planted 500 seedlings in the framework of the action “Preserve the forest”

In the settlements of Karachay-Cherkessia, events of the All-Russian action “Save the Forest” were held, the participants of which planted 500 tree seedlings.

The central event took place in the Pokrovsky Park of Cherkessk, where the new alley was called the Alley of Unity of the Peoples of the KCR - in honor of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, announced by President Vladimir Putin. Large-scale planting took place in the Krasnogorsk district forestry: 250 participants planted 200 ash seedlings, more than 200 trees were planted in municipal districts of the republic.

In 2026, the area of reforestation in Karachay-Cherkessia amounted to 124 hectares, and since 2019, more than 600 hectares of forest have been restored in the republic - thousands of young trees were planted on the lands of the forest fund, in parks and squares. The work is carried out within the framework of the national project “Environmental Well-being” and the federal project “Forest Preservation”, implemented at the initiative of the President.

By the end of October in the republic plan to plant about 3 thousand seedlings. The events brought together representatives of executive authorities, labor collectives, students and volunteers - joint care for nature, according to the organizers, strengthens responsibility for the native land and reminds that the preservation of forests is a common cause.

Earlier it was reported that in Cherkessk laid a rowan alley of unity of the peoples of Karachay-Cherkessia.
