In Karelia offer installments for single pensioners to connect gas
The issue of accessibility of social gasification is relevant for residents of Karelia

The issue of availability of social gasification is relevant for the residents of Karelia. Although preferential categories of citizens receive subsidies for the purchase and installation of gas equipment and work inside the site, the costs can still be unaffordable, especially for single pensioners.
The direct line with the President in 2025 received many appeals from pensioners who cannot afford connection to gas. The Popular Front proposes to work out an installment mechanism for connecting and purchasing equipment.
“I support this initiative. Even with a subsidy, self-spending can be a serious obstacle for people. The installments will help more residents of Karelia to use the gasification program, said Yana Shmuylo, head of the regional branch of the Popular Front in the Republic of Karelia.
The results of the work with appeals to the Direct Line in 2025, the head of the Executive Committee of the Popular Front Mikhail Kuznetsov presented to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. In total, more than 3.2 million appeals are under the control of the Popular Front. 81% of questions were considered, a third of them were resolved positively.
