In Karelia temporarily restricted access to two popular eco-routes
Regional Directorate of Specially Protected Natural Territories announced the suspension of two tourist sites

The Regional Directorate of Specially Protected Natural Areas announced the suspension of two tourist sites. Since October 16, the route "Reserve trails to the pristine nature", located in the reserve "Murom" (Pudoga district). An exception is made only for specialists conducting repairs or patrols.
Since October 19, similar measures have affected the trail “To the largest fir Fennoscandia” in the “Zaozersk” reserve. The decision was dictated by the need for repair work, as well as safety issues: due to fallen foliage, wooden decking became too slippery. Visiting this route is now possible only with the guides of the Directorate.
Both facilities will be closed until spring. The administration will inform citizens about the opening date through its official resources.
