These data were discussed at the board of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor and the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology. The meeting participants summed up the work for three quarters and assessed the sanitary situation in the republic.
Of the total number of poisonings, 52 cases are associated with alcohol-containing products, 29 with tobacco and nicotine-containing products, another 30 with narcotic substances. In Rospotrebnadzor believe that the situation is also affected by the location of outlets selling tobacco and nicotine-containing products. Now the minimum distance from such shops to educational institutions is determined by municipalities. The agency urges local authorities not to reduce it to a minimum.
The panel also discussed business inspections, vaccination and environmental quality. For nine months, experts conducted 572 inspections - 2.7% more than a year earlier. At the same time, the main focus is on prevention: the number of such measures has increased by 1.7 times.
Air monitoring in Abakan and Chernogorsk showed excesses in suspended particles, soot and benz(a)pyrene. The highest levels of pollution were recorded in the cold season. Specialists drew attention to the quality control of drinking water: out of 41 resource supplying organizations, one still does not have an agreed production control program.
