In the Kholmogorsk district, a section of the Emetsk-Selzo road was handed over ahead of schedule

The 3-kilometer, 849-meter track is the actual mileage from the fourth to the eighth kilometer. The repair was a continuation of the work of 2024, when the site was put in order from zero to the third kilometer.

The work was carried out by JSC “Mezensk Road Management” within the framework of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”. The contract was signed on July 13, according to which the completion of work was provided until October 23, but in fact they were completed ahead of schedule - on October 7.

The type of roadwear is lightweight asphalt concrete, two lanes with a width of three meters, the width of the curbs is two meters. The area of the repaired carriageway, excluding the fortified strip of the curb, was 23,094 square meters.

As part of the repair, the construction area was prepared: the main road was restored and fixed, undesirable vegetation was eliminated, the strip of withdrawal and slopes of the embankment was planned, existing signs were dismantled and the old asphalt concrete covering was dismantled on the site of tuft formation. They also arranged a spillway tray, equipped the site with technical means of road traffic management, replaced and installed the missing racks and road sign boards, dismantled and put a new barrier fence, installed plastic signal poles and applied horizontal road markings.

- The contractor managed to complete the repair ahead of schedule, almost a month earlier than the deadline established by the contract, Tsybulsky said. At the site, the withdrawal strip was cleared, water drains were restored, a leveling layer and asphalt concrete covering was arranged, roadsides were strengthened, a barrier fence was installed, more than 30 road signs were replaced and markings were applied. The total cost of all works amounted to 125 million rubles.

Representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the region participated in the acceptance of the facility. Minister Sergey Rodnev stressed the strategic importance of the highway connecting the M-8 Kholmogory federal highway with the village of Selzo and a number of settlements. He noted the high traffic intensity and the importance of ensuring safety throughout the route. This road is especially important in the summer for summer residents, as well as year-round for schoolchildren traveling to educational institutions.
