In Kirzhach, the court confiscated the ATV from a drunk driver without rights

The Kirzhachsky district court convicted a local resident, finding him guilty under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (re-driving a vehicle in a state of intoxication).

It was established that in June this year, a 32-year-old man, already deprived of a driver’s license for a similar violation, drank alcohol at home during the repair of equipment. After completing the repair of the quad bike brand «WILD NRACK 200», he went to the streets of the city. The vehicle did not have a state registration mark.

When trying to stop by traffic police, the driver abandoned the equipment and tried to escape, for which a separate protocol was drawn up against him for disobedience to the police. Medical examination showed that the alcohol content in the exhaled air exceeded the permissible norm by almost 6 times.

The court sentenced the man to a fine of 200 thousand rubles and deprivation of the right to engage in activities on driving vehicles for 2 years. The refurbished quad bike, which had previously been seized, was confiscated by a court verdict into state revenue.
