In Kostroma awarded agricultural workers
In Kostroma held a solemn meeting dedicated to workers of the agro-industrial complex

In Kostroma, a solemn meeting dedicated to workers of the agro-industrial complex was held. Governor Sergey Sitnikov thanked farmers for their work and noted the positive results of the agricultural year.
The volume of agricultural production in the region reached 40 billion rubles, which is 7% more than a year earlier. The most notable growth was observed in the production of eggs, milk, meat, butter and confectionery. Despite the difficulties in providing fuel, agricultural enterprises were able to complete the harvesting campaign.
16 farms joined the initiative of the regional authorities to organize direct sales of vegetables from the fields. Thanks to this, residents of the region were able to buy vegetables for the winter without significant costs.
On the day of the solemn meeting, the governor also signed a decree on expanding measures to support potato and vegetable producers. Now farms engaged in the production of elite seeds will be able to receive subsidies for the purchase of fuel and lubricants, fertilizers, as well as chemical and biological plant protection products. Other farmers will be able to compensate for part of the cost of buying elite potato seeds and vegetable crops.
Sergey Sitnikov stressed that the region faces the task of increasing agricultural production by at least 25% by 2030. This goal was set by Russian President Vladimir Putin, and the governor expressed confidence that the Kostroma region will be able to fulfill it.
