In the Kostroma region potatoes from manufacturers sell for 18 rubles per kilogram

In the Kostroma region organized direct retail sale of potatoes from agricultural producers. Due to this, residents can buy a vegetable at a price of 18 rubles per kilogram - according to the regional administration, it is two or more times cheaper than in stores.

Sales were launched in 16 farms of Kostroma, Galich, Susaninsky and Nerecht districts. In addition, inexpensive vegetables are presented at agricultural fairs in Kostroma. To organize trade directly from manufacturers instructed Governor Sergey Sitnikov.

The head of the region believes that this practice should be made permanent and help farmers to establish profitable sales of products. According to him, farmers are often unable to independently engage in sales due to lack of time, which is used by intermediaries.

Sitnikov instructed the relevant department to develop a mechanism that will allow directing most of the proceeds directly to agriculture and restraining the unreasonable increase in the cost of products during resale.
