The Kovrov City Court convicted a citizen of the Republic of Belarus under part 2 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The woman was found guilty of giving a bribe to an official in a significant amount.
According to the investigation, her son, serving a sentence in IK-6 UFSIN in the Vladimir region, this summer complained about the conditions of detention. Wanting to ease the fate of the prisoner, the mother made an attempt to transfer 200 euros and food to the head of the institution in exchange for transferring her son to another unit.
The illegal initiative was suppressed by the recipient and employees of the regional FSIN’s own security department. In court, the convict fully admitted guilt. Themis appointed her a fine of 150 thousand rubles. The sentence has not yet entered into force.
