In the Krasnodon municipal district, work continues to return unused land to agricultural circulation.
Specialists of the district administration together with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the LPR and RosAgrokhimsluzhba conducted another survey of agricultural sites.
“Specialists of the Administration of the Krasnodon Municipal District together with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the LPR and RosAgrokhimsluzhba conducted another survey of agricultural land plots,” the department of agricultural development of the district reported.
The survey was held within the framework of the project of cultural and technical reclamation for the commissioning of land of one of the largest agricultural formations of the district.
The initial survey of the sites took place earlier. Then the potential of the land and the composition of the work were determined: clearing from wood and artisanal vegetation, heaps, stumps and stones, as well as primary tillage.
Specialists recorded the final result. Cultural activities have been carried out at the sites, and the land has actually been put into circulation. In the once overgrown areas, sunflower is grown this season. The harvest is ripe and will soon be removed.
“Sunflower has been grown in formerly overgrown areas this season. The harvest is ripe and will soon be removed, the ministry said.
Enterprises whose plots have been surveyed and recognized as suitable for involvement in agricultural turnover will be able to apply for state support under the land reclamation program. This creates additional incentives for farmers to actively include previously abandoned land.
Bringing unused land into circulation is a strategic task for the region. The measures taken will expand the sown area and increase the efficiency of the agricultural sector.
“The Krasnodon municipal district became the first territory in the Luhansk People’s Republic, where the commissioning of unused lands, including previously mined lands, was implemented,” the department stressed.
