In Crimea for a week filed 258 applications for marriage

Over the past week, 258 applications for marriage registration were received in the registry office, most of the future newlyweds were in Simferopol. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Justice of Crimea.

Simferopol became the leader in the number of those wishing to tie the knot - 76 applications were submitted here. This is followed by Evpatoria (24), Simferopol district (22), Feodosia (21), as well as Bakhchisarai and Kerch, where 20 applications are accepted.

The method of submitting documents was distributed as follows: 62% of couples came to the registry office in person, while 38% used the portal “State Services”. For most applicants, the marriage will be the first – 74% of such couples. Among brides, 78% intend to take the name of their spouse after the wedding.

The average age of applicants was 28-34 years. The figures for those who had already registered a relationship last week were close: brides were 27 years old on average, grooms were 34 years old.

Among the newlyweds were both very young couples - for example, an 18-year-old bride and a 19-year-old groom - and spouses of venerable age. The most mature couple of the week were 79-year-olds.

Earlier it was reported that in March 2026 among mature couples, the average age of brides was 63 years, and grooms - 56 years, while about 23% of all marriages were concluded by people over 50 years.

In August 2026, the Ministry of Justice noted that most applications are filed in Simferopol, Simferopol and Bakhchisarai districts, Evpatoria, Kerch and Alushta, and the average age of grooms and brides is 30-33 years.
