In the Kursk oncology center on the open day suspected breast cancer in 12 women

Last Saturday, the Kursk Oncology Center hosted an Open Doors Day. The experts conducted 136 consultations. In 12 women identified a suspected malignant process in the chest.

All cases were registered in the prescribed form. Patients were organized diagnostic measures with subsequent treatment.

Doctors reminded that the best prevention of oncology is early diagnosis. Girls over 18 years of age mammologists and oncologists recommend doing a breast self-examination every month and undergoing an ultrasound of the mammary glands once a year. Women over 35-40 years old are required to have a mammogram every year. This study is considered the gold standard for diagnosing all breast cancer variants, including non-palpable.

The cancer center noted that the region remains the leader in detecting malignant neoplasms of the breast at an early stage, including due to the vigilance of women. Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit the centre on Saturday.
