In the Kursk region from tick bites suffered 2 thousand people
Among them are 735 children

As of October 21, 2,000 people applied for medical help after tick bites. Among them 735 children under 14 years. The figure is 7% lower than in the same period last year, when 2,148 complaints were registered, including 945 cases with children.
Most often, ticks attacked in local areas, suburban areas, forests and forest park areas.
51 cases of ixodic tick-borne borreliosis (Lyme disease) have been reported. Last year, there were 61 ICD cases as of the same date.
Tick-borne viral encephalitis does not occur in the region. However, ticks carry borreliosis, anaplasmosis, ehrlichiosis, tularemia and West Nile fever.
According to laboratory monitoring, the majority of infected ticks (75.7% of those studied) were carriers of borreliosis.
Experts urge not to lose vigilance when visiting the forest or dacha. You need to dress properly, apply repellents and be attentive. Timely detection of a creeping tick will save you from going to the doctor.
If the tick does bite, you need to remove it as soon as possible and do not neglect the study for infections. This can be done in any accredited laboratory, including the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in the Kursk region.
