In the sports camp “Swallow” on the shore of the Old Mainsky Bay, infrastructure renewal began. Instead of wooden showers, built in the 1970s, there will be a modern complex that meets sanitary requirements.
According to the head of Ulyanovsk Alexander Boldakin, the previous buildings for decades of operation were very worn out. The wooden structures partially rotted, so after the completion of summer shifts they were dismantled.
Contractors have already laid water supply and sewerage communications, poured a concrete base and installed a metal frame. Now experts are mounting walls and roof from sandwich panels with insulation 150 mm thick.
In the near future, the builders plan to concrete the pavement, perform interior decoration and install plumbing. All necessary materials have been purchased.
The building will provide separate entrances for boys and girls, changing rooms, showers, places for washing feet, boiler room, washing and ironing rooms.
The development of the camp will not end there. In 2027, with the support of the national project “Youth and Children”, it is planned to build a modular building for 48 seats here.
On behalf of the mayor, the contractor must choose in advance to begin construction in early spring and complete the work before the start of the summer holidays.
