In the Lipetsk region are preparing a large-scale stocking of sazans
Large-scale stocking will begin this week
A large-scale stocking will begin this week. The action is designed to support the fish population and help maintain the natural balance of the reservoir.
In the Voronezh river it is planned to release more than 1.3 million individuals of sazan. The young fish will become part of the ecosystem and help to curb the overdevelopment of phytoplankton.
Sazans feed on aquatic plants and bottom organisms. This role in the food chain contributes to the maintenance of natural balance and creates conditions for the life of other aquatic inhabitants.
The stocking is organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Lipetsk region within the framework of the national project “Environmental Well-being”.
