In the Lipetsk region began to prepare children for the flu season: what doctors advise

In the Lipetsk region continues vaccination of children according to the national vaccination calendar. Influenza vaccines have already been delivered to medical facilities, the regional health ministry said.

Last year, 15,500 children were vaccinated against influenza. This is 98% of the planned number. According to the Ministry of Health, such coverage helped protect children during the seasonal rise in incidence.

This year, more than 272,000 residents of the region have already been vaccinated against influenza – 24.6% of the population. After vaccinations, adverse events and complications were not registered.

Doctors remind of simple preventive measures: it is important to regularly wash your hands, ventilate the premises, if possible avoid contact with the sick and not visit places of mass congestion without the need.

If symptoms of the disease appear, experts advise not to self-medicate, but to call a doctor at home.
