In the Lipetsk region conducted the 400th heart surgery to eliminate arrhythmia

In the Lipetsk regional clinical hospital performed the 400th endovascular operation to eliminate the focus of arrhythmia. The jubilee patient was a 68-year-old woman who for more than ten years struggled with a violation of heart rhythm.

According to the Ministry of Health of the Lipetsk region, in the last year, the drugs stopped helping the patient, so the doctors decided to intervene. During the operation, experts found a congenital anomaly of the location of the vessels, which could complicate the procedure. However, endovascular surgeons managed to successfully eliminate the focus of arrhythmia.

Now the woman is preparing for discharge. In the hospital, such operations are carried out every week: specialists perform 4-5 radiofrequency ablations or cryoablations.

Two and a half years ago, there was no such intervention in the region. Now patients can receive high-tech care in the Lipetsk region without traveling to other regions.
