Employees of Gazprom Gas Distribution of Makhachkala have completed the reconstruction of a section of the gas pipeline with a length of more than 1.4 km in the Lenin and Kirov districts of the city, the press service of the company reported.

Steel pipes were replaced by polyethylene, which are characterized by increased resistance to corrosion and a long service life.

The new gas pipeline was laid by horizontally inclined drilling. This made it possible to do without opening the road surface and violation of traffic.

The new gas pipeline has increased the reliability of gas supply to 7.5 thousand consumers.
