Makhachkala planted maples in memory of the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident

In Makhachkala, within the framework of the action “Garden of Memory”, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, 30 maples were planted in the park “Alley of Masters”. This was reported in the city hall.

The landing was attended by representatives of the public organization “Union Chernobyl”, employees of the MBU “Welfare” and representatives of the Department of social policy of the administration of Makhachkala.

It is planned to plant 87 trees in total. The new maples will become part of the urban space and a living reminder of Makhachkala residents who participated in the elimination of the consequences of one of the largest man-made disasters of the XX century.
