Rewarding volunteers took place in the cathedral
The head of the city district of Mariupol Anton Koltsov spoke about the solemn ceremony of awarding volunteers, which was held in the walls of the Cathedral of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God. Volunteers who have been involved in the restoration of the city since its liberation were awarded with well-deserved thanks and insignia “For the restoration of Mariupol”.
The initiative of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg and the Russian Orthodox Church brought together hundreds of people: representatives of construction organizations, students and the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission. An important part of the event was the opening of a historical exposition on the territory of the temple about the role of the Orthodox clergy in the defense of the Fatherland.
