In Melitopol discussed measures to protect the city from emergencies

In the administration of the city district of Melitopol, a meeting of the commission for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations and fire safety was held.

The meeting participants focused on protecting citizens and urban infrastructure from seasonal and man-made threats. A report was presented on measures to prevent and eliminate the consequences of flooding of sites due to heavy precipitation, as well as on the results of inspection of wells of engineering networks.

The Commission considered the creation of a special group to monitor the situation, record and assess damage after an emergency — it will include representatives of relevant departments. In addition, special attention was paid to the design and placement of information stands on civil defense.

The meeting participants were also informed about the approval of the municipal program “Development of civil defense, protection of the population and territories from emergency situations of natural and man-made nature in the municipality of the Melitopol urban district”.

As a result of the discussion, all issues were transferred for execution to responsible persons and specialized services.
