The Ministry of Forestry told how many drilling areas developed in the Minsk and Grodno regions

The development of wind-drill logging in the Minsk and Grodno regions was considered at the headquarters in Vileika. Details sb.by reported in the press service of the Ministry of Forestry.

The main task, which was outlined by the Minister of Forestry Sergey Uldinovich, is to achieve systematic work on harvesting, trimming and removal of wood.

In the Minsk region, 916 hectares of drilling areas have already been covered by continuous drilling, in Grodno - 746 hectares. This is 43 per cent and 66 per cent respectively of the volumes recorded.

Sergey Uldinovich stressed that it is important to minimize the gap between harvesting and removal of wood. To do this, it is necessary to send additional equipment, including connecting the resources of those forestry enterprises that have already coped with the tasks brought earlier. At the same time, products should be sold, forest cutters cleaned and soil prepared for the creation of forest crops.

The Ministry of Forestry noted that part of the drilling areas will be restored this autumn. We will remind, tomorrow the republican voluntary public action “Give the forest a new zhyzze!” will start in the country. During the campaign, emphasis will be placed on the restoration of wind and drill areas and drying trees.
