The accused has four minor children - two sons and two daughters, who live with their mother after the divorce. On the basis of a court decision, a Minsk citizen from November 2023 must pay alimony to his ex-wife in accordance with the procedure established by law for the maintenance of children.
However, he evaded his duty, did not react to warnings about criminal liability for non-payment of funds, did not work for a long time, which caused arrears on payment of funds, which he has not yet repaid, and does not take measures to repay it. As a result, a criminal case was opened against the man. Guilt in court, he fully admitted, in what he did repented.
- The accused has a higher education, he is a director of a private company, previously he was not brought to criminal responsibility, said Anna Kostyuchenko, assistant prosecutor of the Moscow district, who spoke in the criminal case as a state prosecutor. The court found him guilty of evading parents for more than three months within a year from paying funds for the maintenance of minor children by a court order and on the basis of Part 1 of Article 174 of the Criminal Code imposed a punishment in the form of community service for a period of 300 hours.
