In Minsk on the ecological trail in Medvezhino held a Saturday

Subbotnik took place on October 17 in the Frunzensky district of Minsk. The event was organized on the initiative of Odoevsky TOS No. 38, writes sb.by.

According to the Chairman of the Minsk City Council of Deputies, Chairman of the Minsk City Branch of the White Rus Party Artem Tsuran, cleaning in the Medvezhino forest park zone is carried out regularly. At first, the activists put in order the territory of the future roller ski track within the borders of Ponomarenko Street, preparing the site for the project. When construction organizations got to work, activists moved to the ecological path. The Chairman of the Minsk City Council noted that at least two subbotniks will be organized in the district in spring and the same number in autumn:

- Today, our goal is to restore order on the ecological path. This place is used by Minsk residents not only for recreation, but also for training. Students of nearby schools of the Odoevsky district study nature here, get acquainted with flora and fauna in its natural form. But wildlife requires additional care - to be safe and maintain aesthetics, the forest remains beautiful.

He thanked everyone who went out to clean up, and stressed that the participants have one goal - to make sure that local residents were comfortable and safe to spend time in the fresh air. Enterprises and institutions of the district responded to the call: large construction organizations MAPID, Minsk House Building Plant, Goravtomost, Minskblgaz, schools and colleges, Zelenstroy of the Frunzensky district of Minsk, BRSM.

Deputy of the Minsk City Council Alesya Savich explained that the Saturday in the green massif within the borders of Ponomarenko and M. Goretsky streets is held as part of the annual campaign “Let’s Clean the Forest Together”:

- Every year in the autumn and spring months we hold this action. We have a large green area, and it requires the participation of organizations that help clean the forest. There are windmills, many fallen trees and branches.

According to her, about 100 people are expected to take part in the action. Wood waste is not just taken out: thin branches are crushed into chips, which are later used, and the wood is given only for processing.

Actively involved in Saturdays and youth. First Secretary of the Frunze District Committee of BRSM NGO Egor Aleynik called participation in such actions a conscious choice.

- It is necessary to restore order on our land: we live here, walk and work every day. Our land is also our home, and there should always be order in the house, he said.

According to Egor Aleinik, students of the College of Business and Law helped clean up the territory of the Hugo Chavez Park, young people from the Kedyshko College of Crafts and Design and the College of Bakery worked on subbotniks in the districts, and at the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow” students of the lingua humanitarian and industrial-pedagogical colleges worked as part of the campaign “Restoring shrines of Belarus”. He added that Saturdays are held not only on weekends, but also on weekdays - after classes, so as not to interrupt the learning process.
