By the end of the year, more than 30 km of water supply networks and more than 30 km of sanitation networks will be transferred to Minsk. This was announced at an operational meeting in the Minsk City Executive Committee by the director of the UE “Minskvodokanal” Fedor Rimashevsky, BelTA reports.

According to Fyodor Rimashevsky, almost all the tasks set for the enterprise for the current year have already been fulfilled. Work on the relay of water supply and sanitation networks is at the final stage. “By the end of the year, we will move more than 30 km of water supply networks and more than 30 km of sewerage networks – only about 65 km,” he said.
The reconstruction of the Minsk treatment plant continues. “To date, all queues are involved. By the end of the year, two of the five destinations will be operational. Work is ongoing. We have enough resources and mechanisms to fulfill the tasks for the reconstruction of the Minsk sewage treatment plant, the director said.
In addition, the company held city events to prepare for the autumn-winter period. Among them, check of hydrants, hydraulic structures and pumping equipment, relaying of networks.
For the winter in Minsk also prepare snow alloy points. In November, the construction of the third point on the street is planned to be completed. Timiryazeva. By the end of November and the beginning of December, it will be ready to receive snow. Thus, by the beginning of winter, there will be three snow alloy points in the city, said Fyodor Rimashevsky.
He explained that these facilities are necessary for the city in the winter season. “Last winter, the operating snow alloy broke a record. We can see that it can take more snow than the project envisages, that is, its power is enough. We expect that all three snow alloy points will have a reserve of capacity, the head of Minskvodokanal said.
The company also developed an online map of water quality control in Minsk and started its implementation. “The most important areas have turbidity sensors, and we can dynamically monitor water quality. The system is still being finalized. We will increase the number of sensors annually in order to respond more quickly to possible changes in water quality. Sensors are in control room. If the level of turbidity changes, the dispatcher receives a signal and directs the brigade to the place. This is how we understand what is happening on networks, and we react faster to abnormal situations, the director said.
