On the development of infrastructure in the capital to maintain an active lifestyle, physical education and sports said the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev in an interview with the newspaper “Evening Minsk”, reports the correspondent of the Agency “Minsk-Novosti”.
According to V. Kukharev, there are already more than 360 km of bicycle paths in the city. This year it is planned to equip an additional 26 km. There are plans for next year, but now it is important to unite the tracks so that they are not broken.
- Recently, the main bike path running along Svisloch received access beyond the Moscow Ring Road, and now you can reach the territory adjacent to the Minsk Sea by two-wheeled transport, the chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee added.
In recent years, all new schools have been built with swimming pools in which not only students, but also local residents can study in their free time. School stadiums should be open until late in the evening so that people living nearby can play sports.
- In the near future, we plan to reconstruct about 10 such stadiums. Also, the construction of the Center for Extreme Sports continues, the head of the city said.
