Tires for agricultural machinery, gas breathing mixture and environmental solutions. The first republican competition of professional skills of the Belkhimprofsoyuz “Master! Chemical Technologist” was held in Minsk. Six young specialists of the leading enterprises of the chemical and petrochemical industry of Belarus fought for the title of the best.

The competition was held on the basis of RUE "Belorusneft-Minskavtozavodka". Participants from OJSC Lakokraska, OJSC Grodno Azot, OJSC KRION, OJSC Mozyr Refinery, OJSC Naftan and OJSC Belshina presented projects aimed at improving production processes, improving product quality and solving pressing environmental problems.
The program brought together two stages: an open dialogue "10 questions to the head" and the defense of projects "My professional choice!". Young chemists-technologists spoke about their developments, professional experience and ideas that can find practical application.

Welcoming the contestants, the Chairman of the Belkhim Trade Union Andrey Zhuk stressed that the event is designed to help young professionals to express themselves, present their enterprises and reveal their professional potential.
- Our main goal is to give young professionals the opportunity to express themselves and their company, show professional experience and creative potential, implement their ideas and take another step in personal and professional development. I am sure that the competition will become not only a competition, but also a platform for the exchange of experience, new acquaintances and inspiration, said Andrei Zhuk.

The winner of the competition was the engineer-technologist of the Central Factory Laboratory of the Engineering and Technical Center of Belshina OJSC Kristina Bondareva. She presented a project of low-pressure tires for agricultural machinery. Such development reduces pressure on the soil and reduces its compaction, which is important for preserving land fertility and increasing crop yields.
Currently, tires manufactured using the company’s technology are undergoing operational tests in different regions of Belarus.
- It is important to me that our work can be useful for agriculture and contribute to the preservation of soil fertility. Such events inspire us to move forward and increase interest in engineering professions, said Kristina Bondareva.

Another development was presented by the chemical engineer of OJSC "CRION" Julia Kosovich. She told about the project of her team - gas breathing mixture "Breathe easily". According to the developer, it can be used in situations where people are faced with stuffiness, fatigue and drowsiness, including long-term driving or working at altitude.
- I presented the development of our large team. We want the Breathe Easy mixture to help people recover faster and cope with fatigue. The competition gives you the opportunity to talk about your idea, show what you have learned, and present the enterprise. After all, behind each participant is a team and the support of colleagues, Yulia Kosovich said.
