In Minsk for the construction season updated about 1 million square meters of road surface. Ruslan Yasyuchenya, the head of the department "Center" of the GPO "Gorremavtodor of the Mingorispolkom" told about how work was carried out on the repair of the street and road network at a press conference on the Day of the Motorist and Road Man, which was held today, October 21, in the press center of BelTA, the correspondent of sb.by reports.

The enterprises of the association carried out both current repairs and complete replacement of coatings, eliminated the gauge, updated pedestrian connections and bicycle paths, and equipped a barrier-free environment for people with limited mobility.

- The season is over. Work with a complete replacement of the coating was performed on an area of about 1 million square meters. They were held not only on frame streets and avenues, but also in sleeping areas – on the streets of Plekhanov, Railway, Alibegov, Gromov, Vaupshasov, Filimonov and others, said Ruslan Yasyuchenya.

In addition, protective layers were equipped at 25 sites, and cracks were eliminated for more than 1.3 thousand kilometers. The city also installed new standard stop pavilions that meet the established requirements for frame design and glazing.

In parallel, road organizations are preparing for the autumn-winter period. Park of specialized equipment for winter maintenance of roads has about 700 units.
